Glossary of Terms: HP - Hot Pressed. Paper surface has been made smooth during manufacture by being pressed between two metal plates or other means. NOT - Not Hot Pressed. A matt, not very smooth yet not very rough surface. ROUGH - Just that, a rough surface. ACID FREE - Also known as "neutral PH". An acidic PH value in paper can contribute to deterioration over time. Where acid-free is stated the paper is manufactured with a neutral PH value. Please note however that once paper packs are opened and exposed to eveyday air, due to absorption the paper's PH value may change. SIZING - This is a term given to the process during manufacture that gives the paper less or more water resistance. In our case, where we say the paper has been "sized" it generally means it has been made more water resistant and more suitable for dealing with wet media. A+ - Slightly larger than the standard "A" sizes, usually a few centimeters both ways. Can be trimmed on request.
